BILLY T. STATON, Jr.

Pastor Billy T. Staton, Jr. serves as the Senior Pastor of Nehemiah Family Worship Center in Upper Marlboro, MD. Pastor Staton is a 21st-century leader with a sincere desire to see people live their best lives for Jesus Christ. He is dedicated to preaching and teaching the gospel and his ministry has had an impact well beyond the Sunday morning pulpit. Since becoming Pastor of NFWC in 2013, the ministry has seen tremendous growth. The church became debt-free in 2024! The name of the church was changed from Providence St. John Baptist Church to Nehemiah Family Worship Center.

Pastor Staton is a self-published author of three books, two from his devotional series entitled #justacrumb, a compilation of daily spiritual anecdotes, written to strengthen every believer and his eulogy preparation handbook, “Don’t Wing It!” published in 2025.  

Pastor Staton has a Bachelor’s Arts degree in Biblical Studies & Pastoral Leadership. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Collective Empowerment Group whose mission is to build our collective economic influence and establish covenant relationships with member churches and the community. 

Pastor Staton is married to the love of his life, Paula L. Staton and they are the proud parents of one son, Benjamin.
